Vision and Values
Our vision is embedded in the bible verse:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11
Our mission statement is: Challenging ourselves and supporting others to succeed and flourish.
The community of St John’s champions an engaging curriculum, which encourages reflective and resilient learners. Because of Jesus’ love for everyone, we value every child as an individual and support them spiritually, emotionally, and academically.
School Vision and Values
Our school vision was created with input from children, staff, parents and governors. Involving our whole school community, we believe that our vision statement sums up who we are as a family and what we believe our role is as a school. If you have any questions about what our vision statement ‘looks like’, please ask.
As well as our vision statement, we have 6 school values, based on the teachings of Jesus. We believe these values help us to grow as individuals and as learners and to seek to live life to the full in our communities.
Our Living and Learning Values:
- Perseverance - We always try our hardest
- Ambition - We are determined to achieve success
- Teamwork - We work together to be successful
- Honesty - We always tell the truth, even when it's hard
- Kindness - We listen to and care for everyone and everything
- Peace - We create peace in our school
We have studied different Bible stories that help us to understand what these values mean, where they have come from and what they look like in our school.
At St John's, our Christian identity underpins everything: who we are, what we do and how we treat one another. Without this, we wouldn't be what makes us 'us'.
